DTG is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Wilson as Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain Transformation, further strengthening the company’s growing capability to support pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations in improving operational performance and delivering lasting business transformation.
Phil joins DTG following an accomplished career spanning almost 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry. During this time, he has held senior leadership positions across manufacturing operations, supply chain, site leadership, network strategy and enterprise transformation, leading major programmes including manufacturing network strategy, operational turnarounds, divestments, organisational redesign, site closures and transfers, and large-scale business change across global operations.
His appointment marks another important milestone in the continued growth of DTG’s Manufacturing & Supply Chain Transformation business, reinforcing the company’s commitment to helping life sciences organisations build high-performing, resilient operations that are ready for the future.
Having spent almost three decades leading transformation from within the industry, Phil brings a practitioner-led perspective that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Having worked in the client’s seat throughout his career, he understands the realities of leading complex change and the importance of delivering solutions that create lasting value rather than short-term improvements.
At DTG, Phil will lead the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Transformation practice, combining deep operational expertise with DTG’s established digital, data and technology capabilities. Working alongside clients across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and advanced therapies, he will help organisations improve performance, embrace innovation and build more resilient manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Commenting on his appointment, Phil said:
“I’m delighted to be joining DTG at such an exciting stage in its growth. Having spent almost three decades leading manufacturing and supply chain transformation from within the industry, I’m passionate about helping organisations navigate increasingly complex challenges while building the capability, confidence and leadership needed to achieve sustained success.
What attracted me to DTG is the opportunity to combine deep operational expertise with outstanding digital, data and technology capabilities. Together, we have an exciting opportunity to help clients improve performance, embrace innovation and build resilient, high-performing operations that are ready for the future.
I’ve always believed the best transformation is delivered with people, not to them. Success won’t be measured only by what we deliver during an engagement, but by what our clients are able to achieve long after we’ve left. For me, that means leaving every organisation higher performing, with more capable leaders, more confident teams and more resilient operations. Just as importantly, I want every client to feel they have been listened to, supported, challenged in the right way and genuinely valued throughout the journey. If our clients leave the partnership stronger than when we first met, then we’ll have achieved exactly what we set out to do.”
Dave Tudor, Chief Executive Officer at DTG, said:
“Phil’s appointment is another significant step in the growth of our Manufacturing & Supply Chain Transformation business. His experience leading complex transformation programmes from within global pharmaceutical organisations gives him a unique understanding of the challenges our clients face.
By combining Phil’s operational leadership with DTG’s expertise in digital transformation, data, automation and emerging technologies, we are further strengthening our ability to help clients improve performance, increase resilience and successfully navigate the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chains.”
Phil’s appointment reflects DTG’s continued investment in expanding its specialist capabilities and reinforces the company’s mission to help life sciences organisations transform manufacturing and supply through practical expertise, innovative technologies and collaborative partnerships that deliver measurable, lasting results.
