Backed by Innovate UK, DASH is the result of the Digital Pharmalink collaboration between GSK, The University of Cambridge, Good Digital Practice (now part of DTG) and CPI. The collaboration set out to create a new paradigm for pharmaceutical supply chain information exchange: to enable organisations to transfer trusted, structured data instead of documents – from different operational systems and processes.
The DASH platform was built to support any data exchange between external organisations – without the need to change the existing enterprise systems in each organisation. The exchange of Certificates of Analysis is only the first application for the platform with a roadmap for supporting a broader range of structured data exchanges across a supply chain.
