DTG strengthens manufacturers’ cyber resilience with new Siemens partnership

Digital transformation specialists Digital Technologies Group (DTG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Siemens to accelerate the adoption of DTG’s Cyber Assessment Tool (CAST) and enhance manufacturers’ ability to measure and manage cyber security risks across their operations.

At the heart of the partnership is DTG’s CAST solution – a comprehensive cyber risk management hub designed specifically for industrial environments. CAST builds a digital inventory of all Operational Technology (OT) assets, from robotic manufacturing arms to sensors and controllers, giving manufacturers clear visibility of their exposure to cyber risks. The tool enables them to assess, quantify, and visualise vulnerabilities across single or multiple sites, saving time and ensuring organisation-wide readiness.

Through the new MoU, CAST will be made available on Siemens’ open digital business platform, Xcelerator, with the two companies working together to deploy the solution to their joint customer base. Integrated with Siemens’ low-code development platform, Mendix, the tool delivers a scalable, standardised method for measuring compliance with cyber security standards and formulating effective risk mitigation strategies.

Steven Kenny, Chief Technical Officer at DTG, commented:

“Industry is embracing digital transformation, which means cyber security is no longer a grudge purchase – it’s a strategic necessity. CAST equips manufacturers with a consistent way to evaluate their operating standards and practices, helping them identify gaps and respond effectively.

Partnering with Siemens is an important milestone in our journey. Having already used Mendix to accelerate CAST’s development, this agreement allows us to extend our reach, improve responsiveness, and ultimately provide greater value to our clients as they continue to evolve.”

Paul Hingley, Business Manager for Communication Products, Cyber Security and Safety Services at Siemens, added:

“Cyber threats are increasing in scale and complexity. It’s essential we leverage innovative solutions like DTG’s CAST to simplify the cyber risk management process for manufacturers. This partnership shows the power of combining Siemens’ platforms with DTG’s specialist expertise.”
